  • I absolutely loved listening to 'All Things Wise and Wonderful' while working on my new quilt top. It brought back so many memories from when I first fell in love with this story over 30 years ago! It was such a fantastic way to keep myself entertained!
  • Christopher Timothy does an amazing job with his reading and portrayal of the characters in 'All Things Wise and Wonderful'! His performance is top-notch and it remains consistently excellent throughout the entire series.
  • This audiobook is simply fantastic! The stories are captivating and the narration has a lovely, melodic quality to it. It's truly a wonderful book that I would wholeheartedly recommend. In fact, I highly recommend the entire series. James is an incredible storyteller and his talent shines through in every tale.
  • I can't get enough of James Herriot's books. I find myself diving back into them time and time again, and each read feels just as enjoyable as the very first. 'All Things Wise and Wonderful' takes us on a nostalgic journey through his experiences as a veterinarian and his wartime adventures. It's a truly remarkable and heartwarming story that I hold dear, cherishing every single moment.
  • In my opinion, Christopher Timothy embodies the essence of James Herriot, making it an obvious choice for me to opt for his narration of this timeless classic. However, I was taken aback when the original audio was remastered and inexplicably infused with musical interludes. These interludes were not only inserted between chapters but at times, puzzlingly, right in the middle of a chapter, disrupting the smooth flow of the narrative. Additionally, there were instances of abrupt continuity jumps and mid-sentence fade outs, which were absent in my well-worn cassette tapes from the 1980s. I'm completely baffled as to what went wrong and how these issues managed to slip past quality control. Despite these grievances, my love for the book is unwavering, so I won't be returning it. However, I strongly believe that the service should address the problems in these remastered recordings, as they have been rightfully pointed out in numerous reviews. An ideal solution would be to offer a replacement to all those who have purchased this version.
  • I absolutely loved the book, like always, but there seems to be a problem with the recording. There's a section missing, and it's played after the book has already finished. Is there any way to fix this?
