I really enjoyed this book. It's like an autobiography for those who were hoping for more humor. However, Craig Ferguson's cleverness and charisma shine throughout the book. His journey from poverty to success is a true rags to riches story, if you're into that kind of thing. I found it fascinating to learn about his upbringing in Scotland and how he eventually achieved his dream of living in the U.S.
The only thing that would have made it even better is if he provided more insight into his personal life, but maybe that's just not his style.
He's definitely a talented and fortunate guy!!!
Note: He doesn't come across as preachy at all.
This could be an excellent historical immigrant autobiography that depicts life in our era for future generations. Since he's around my age, I could easily imagine the drug culture of the 70s and 80s, as it mirrored my own experience.
