Summary
Beginning the trilogy that continues with The Day of Battle, An Army at Dawn opens on the eve of Operation TORCH, the daring amphibious invasion of Morocco and Algeria. After three days of hard fighting against the French, American and British troops push deeper into North Africa.
The narration/execution of the complete version of "An Army at Dawn" doesn't match up to the outstanding narration of the condensed version by the author, Mr. Atkinson. After reading the book and subsequently listening to both the condensed and complete versions, I strongly suggest opting for Mr. Atkinson's condensed narration.
