I actually enjoyed this one more than the previous book. I loved it so much that I ended up purchasing the next installment from a physical bookstore because it's not available on the service I use. I heard it's going to be released on audio in January and I can't wait to get my hands on it. It's definitely a must-read.
This series is so addictive! I definitely recommend it. The storyline is complex, the characters are captivating, and the narration is outstanding. Sometimes I find myself forgetting that these books haven't been turned into movies because once you start listening, you're instantly transported into the thrilling world of the night huntress. A huge thank you to Jeaniene Frost for sharing her incredible talent.
It took some time for me to get into it because the narrator's portrayal of Bones's voice made him sound more like Gollum than the attractive vampire he's meant to be. In my mind, I ended up substituting the narrator's voice for Bones with Paul Bettany's (who I believe would make a fantastic Bones)! And let me tell you, I am totally hooked! This series is seriously addictive and I just can't get enough of it!
Once again, this book is absolutely amazing! I'm already diving into the fourth installment. It's definitely worth the credits and money. I really hope you have as much fun reading it as I did.
Jeaniene Frost has once again delivered an action-packed and enthralling installment in the Night Huntress series with "At Grave's End." The author's writing talent shines through, providing readers with captivating battles, heartfelt romance, and thrilling misadventures featuring the beloved characters, Cat and Bones. One of the highlights of Frost's writing is her ability to depict the characters' relationships, showcasing their interactions and inner thoughts in a relatable and engaging manner. The author's skill in crafting powerful scenes using seemingly simple words and details is evident throughout the book, such as the emotionally charged proposal from Bones to Cat early on in the story.
In this particular installment, Cat and Bones face two formidable adversaries. Cat's father poses a significant threat, and the introduction of Mancheres' estranged wife, a powerful ancient vampire, adds further complexity to the plot. It must be noted that this book sees a noticeable increase in violence compared to previous installments. Though some readers might find certain scenes, such as Cat's abuse and torture at the hands of her father, intense and difficult to endure, it ultimately does not detract from the overall appeal of the story or Frost's exceptional storytelling.
As always, the narration by Tavia Gilbert is exemplary, showcasing her talent and enhancing the audiobook experience. Whether you are a devoted fan of the series or a newcomer, "At Grave's End" is a gripping and well-crafted addition to the Night Huntress series that will leave you eagerly anticipating the next installment.
Typically, a series can become boring after numerous books, but not this one....I've devoured them all and eagerly anticipating the release of another installment. Cat and Bones make the perfect supernatural duo, and their intimate moments are some of the most sizzling, passionate, and well-crafted scenes I've had the pleasure of encountering. Unlike other books, where erotic scenes can be laughable or predictable to the point of eye-rolling, the encounters between Cat and Bones are masterfully written, evoking vivid imagery that is best enjoyed in the privacy of a dimly lit room. It's truly exceptional.
If you are a fan of this genre, THIS is the series you must have. It's worth every credit or penny you invest.
As always, Jeaniene Frost never fails to deliver with her captivating storytelling in "At Grave's End: Night Huntress, Book 3". With her trademark twists, turns, and a healthy dose of romance, Frost's writing is simply phenomenal. I adore the characters she has created, and Tavia Gilbert does an exceptional job bringing them to life through her narration. If you're a fan of authors like Kim Harrison, Rachel Vincent, or Patricia Briggs, you're bound to fall head over heels for Jeaniene Frost. Her "Night Huntress" series, as well as its spinoff featuring other compelling characters, are both top-notch. I can hardly wait for the next installment!
