I recently stumbled upon this audiobook and I must say, I'm a huge fan of Saskia Maarleveld, the narrator. I've listened to a lot of audiobooks from various services and I adore narrators like Julia Whelan, Mary Jane Wells, and Keleo Griffith, but Saskia Maarleveld has definitely earned a spot on my favorites list. I was in search of something new to hold me over until the next installment of the In Death Book series, and boy, am I glad I discovered this trilogy. It's important to read the books in order, but personally, I enjoy that aspect. One thing that intrigued me was how the characters, despite being of similar age, are treated differently by the group, which adds an interesting dynamic to the story. The plot, characters, action, and unexpected twists for each character kept me thoroughly entertained. I've actually listened to the books multiple times and in my opinion, it was definitely worth the credit.

I really liked the characters and their abilities in this book, and the mix of romance and humor made it an enjoyable story.
