Summary
The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn't drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University's Walking One-Night Stand.
I absolutely adored this book! The story of Travis and Abby completely captivated me. I thought it was very well written, steering clear of excessive clichés and repetition. It had me completely hooked, eager to keep listening to find out what would happen next. The characters were fantastic, not at all shallow, and the writing skillfully brought out their depth and complexities. This story definitely had its fair share of emotional turmoil and that intense drama that comes with the passionate connection between two young individuals. Hats off to the author for avoiding any over-the-top melodrama that wouldn't be relatable or convincing, which could have easily happened with this type of story. Emma Galvin's narration is absolutely phenomenal, as always, and it only enhances the addictive and "real" nature of this story.
