  • Here's my rephrased version: 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 After finishing this audiobook, I must say that Bax is the most mellow antihero I've ever encountered. Although there were hints of his past actions being bad, his behavior throughout the story was quite tame. He tended to prioritize self-sacrifice and self-destruction rather than engaging in truly villainous actions. The plot was intriguing, but it didn't have the emotional impact I was anticipating. It was a good listen, but not a mind-blowing one. Nonetheless, I still think it's worth using a credit on.
  • This was my first experience reading this author, and after finishing "Better When He's Bad," I am absolutely hooked. I was completely engrossed in the story, unable to tear myself away, even sacrificing some sleep to continue reading. Initially, I had the impression that the male protagonist would take advantage of the innocent female character, but as the plot developed, my expectations were constantly challenged. To sum it up, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
  • I totally agree with the author in the beginning of the audiobook and believe she successfully achieved her goal. He's not deliberately bad, but it's due to the circumstances. I absolutely adored this illustration of how life can be tough for many of us, but we manage to survive against all odds.
  • I really enjoyed this audiobook. I can't decide if I was completely taken with the male narrator or if the book itself was just that good! Leland King's voice was incredibly easy to listen to and he was a perfect fit for Bax's character. Mia Barron did a great job too. This audiobook is a steamy love story with a lot of substance. I loved everything about it. Bax may be a tough guy, but deep down he's an incredible person. He's experienced some hardships, made some poor choices, and dealt with some unfortunate circumstances. Dovie has also faced her fair share of challenges, but it's not her fault. Despite everything, she radiates positivity and is an amazing individual. They're a perfect match, even though they both know their relationship is likely to end badly. But somehow, it all works out in the end, and it's absolutely heartwarming. I give this audiobook five stars for the story, a hundred stars for the narration, and three spicy chili peppers for the level of heat!
  • This is my third audiobook by MS Jay! This lady has incredible talent, she has transformed me from a moody and picky reader into a dedicated fan! The characters and the storyline are absolutely amazing! Brax and Dovey are the driving force behind an equally fascinating and twisted backstory, which is crucial for their growth and development. Trust me, once you start listening to this audiobook, you won't be able to put it down. It's like a modern-day fairy tale with a unique and dirty twist!
  • Listen up, folks! Let me tell you, this audiobook was pure sweetness. It was like a warm embrace, so touching it could bring tears to your eyes. I haven't come across a more perfect portrayal of a love story where two troubled souls find solace in each other's arms, growing and finding healing through their deep connection.
  • I've actually read this story before, but listening to it was a whole new experience that made it even more enjoyable! The narrators did an amazing job and really brought the story to life.
  • I've been an avid audiobook listener for years, so trust me when I say that "Better When He's Bad" is absolutely phenomenal. In comparison to the countless other books I've devoured, this one truly stands out. The story is incredibly captivating, blending sweetness with just the right amount of "bad" elements. The author's writing style is so engaging that it effortlessly grabs hold of you and refuses to let go. It's a bummer that this one wrapped up so quickly because I can already tell it's going to be a book I'll revisit time and time again.
  • Took me some time to get into the book, and even when I felt like it was picking up momentum... it started losing my interest again... The storyline was solid, definitely offering something different from the typical 'love at first sight' scenarios. There was action, steamy romance, and drama. However, what bothered me was the constant soliloquies, with repeated thoughts that made it seem like the author struggled to convey her point. There were moments where I wanted to scream, "I get it! He's really, really bad and she's really, really good!" In my opinion, this could have been a 5-star story if the writing style had been slightly different. That being said, I'm not suggesting avoiding it altogether, but rather, be prepared. Considering the plot, I would recommend giving the book a chance. The narration was actually decent. Definitely a book to consider buying when it's on sale.
  • I was a bit let down by 'Better When He's Bad'. The storyline didn't have the same smoothness as their other books. It felt like Bax's opinion of Dovie changed abruptly, going from finding her unattractive to suddenly finding her attractive. Additionally, there were instances where they were constantly chasing after someone without any clear explanation that made sense. Overall, it left me feeling somewhat disappointed. 😢
