Summary

While I may not agree with all the author's conclusions, the chronology of this chaotic event is well-written, accompanied by reasonably reached conclusions.
Despite having read the book and watched the movie adaptation, I decided to give the audio book a try when I stumbled upon a sale. While the book offers a valuable perspective on the individuals involved, it lacks the fast-paced nature that the movie successfully delivered. The film adeptly portrays the intensity of the events.
Unfortunately, I have reservations about the audio version, primarily due to the narrator's distracting service intakes of breath, which occur frequently throughout each sentence. Moreover, the narrator's inflection feels monotonous and not quite on target. The mispronunciation of words such as horror, terror, mirror, and error as "Horra, terra, mirra, and era" was particularly frustrating.
I highly doubt that I would listen to this book again, as the narrator's performance has firmly placed him on my "never again" list, alongside George "marbles in my mouth" Guidall.
This book was a captivating read that delved into the stories of numerous individuals who were directly involved in the intense battle. If you've watched the film, brace yourself for a more extensive and detailed analysis of the harrowing overnight mission in the moog.
