I've been a fan of this whole series, but I gotta say that 'Blood of the Fold' takes the cake as the best book so far. It's a real page-turner that keeps you hooked from start to finish. Unlike other books in the series, each one wraps up nicely instead of leaving you hanging for more.
I've made up my mind to give up on this series after giving this book a listen. Just like another reviewer pointed out, it's so blatantly ripping off The Wheel of Time that it's difficult to truly appreciate. There were moments where I couldn't help but burst into laughter because it was unbelievable how much was borrowed from another author's work. On the bright side, the narrator is the standout in the series so far. Hopefully, he gets the chance to work on a more worthwhile series in the future.
