Summary
When the harsh storms of winter descend upon western Ireland, the locals stay indoors - and visitors stay away. Brianna Concannon's bed-and-breakfast becomes a cold and empty place. And that's fine with Brianna. She enjoys the peace and quiet, even when icy winds howl at her window. This year, though, she's expecting an unusual guest - mystery writer Grayson Thane - from America. A restless wanderer with a dark past, he plans to spend the cold winter alone. Yet sometimes fate has a plan of its own. Sometimes a fire can be born in ice . . .
The main reason why I decided to give the second book a chance, despite my strong dislike for the narrator's voice, is because I was really invested in Brianna's story. She goes through a lot not just in the first book, but also in this one, and I was eager to find out if everything turns out well for her. The book has some unexpected turns, and overall, it's a fantastic read. Just try to overlook the narrator, and you'll definitely enjoy it!
The series may be a bit predictable, but that doesn't take away from the overall enjoyment. It's perfect to have on as background noise. The narrator does an amazing job, nailing the accents perfectly. It's like a warm and comforting meal in audiobook format. It's fantastic that the story of Maggie and Rogan carries on in this installment too.
I can't stress enough how amazing the Born in Trilogy is. The narrator is fantastic and does a phenomenal job of adapting their accent to match each character. It's truly impressive!
The narration in 'Born in Ice: Born in Trilogy, Book 2' is absolutely top-notch! I was really impressed with how the narrator seamlessly switched accents for each character, which made them come alive even more. I've read this series multiple times, but now I had the delightful experience of having it read to me. It was executed excellently. Good job!
The narrator for this audiobook was absolutely amazing! It did take me some time to adjust to hearing a male voice for the female characters, but his accents and overall performance were outstanding. As usual, Nora Roberts delivers a fantastic story that I thoroughly enjoyed.
