  • I'm always captivated by the FLDS, and this book truly sheds light on the actual events that unfolded during Jeff's father's reign, both within and beyond prison walls. She's an absolute joy to listen to.
  • I regret making the purchase. The book is severely lacking in writing quality and seems to solely concentrate on sexual content. I believe there could have been a better way to approach the subject matter.
  • I couldn't get through the whole thing. The content was definitely unsettling, but it never managed to engage me. Plus, I just couldn't handle the narrator's voice. I had to call it quits.
  • I'm really pissed off that this kind of thing can happen in our country. I've got my fingers crossed that the law enforcement and the FBI, or whoever it takes, will set these people free. I also really hope that Rachel's story can be a source of inspiration for others who are ready to make their escape too.
  • The storyline is absolutely fascinating, but I couldn't complete it due to the narration. I don't believe I've ever encountered someone speaking with such a monotonous and lackluster tone.
  • This book really got to me on an emotional level, like few others have before. The way she speaks and shares her story reveals that she was raised in a completely different reality. I feel deep sympathy for the hardships she has endured, but I am also filled with happiness to see how she has managed to build a fulfilling life for herself and her kids.
  • If you're incredibly intrigued by the everyday experiences of an FLDS woman, then this audiobook might catch your attention. However, for others, it can be quite tedious and uninteresting. I would recommend reading "Escape" by Carolyn Jessop or "The Witness Wore Red" by Rebecca Musser instead, as they contain more engaging content. Additionally, the narration in "Breaking Free" is subpar. Although I managed to listen to the entire audiobook, I wouldn't blame you for skipping this one.
