    This was a good story, but I had a problem with Patrick. His character really bothered me, he was so immature. At times, it was almost like reading about an adult having a relationship with a child. It was a little icky—for lack of a better word. It didn’t help the visual that Patrick was described as a twink who weighed about 100lbs (totally matched up to his childlike, dependent behavior). For me, I like all parties involved in a relationship to be independent and able to take care of themselves. I don’t like to feel like they are reliant on the other person for survival. Luckily, Patrick matured quite a bit by the end, which made it better for me and raised my rating. This book was just okay for me, but I’ve read others by Amy Lane that I loved so I will try more.
