I can't even begin to describe how much I adored this book. It was written so brilliantly, and the plot was incredibly thought-provoking. The narration was spot on, and I can't even find the words to express my appreciation!

The Poirot we're familiar with exhibits a heartfelt side that matches his brilliant mind, as he tackles motives, crimes, and suspects that are just a touch more peculiar than ever before.
Julian Rhind-Tutt's performance is impeccable. Like any outstanding actor, he effortlessly embodies Poirot, Edward, an Irish Lady, her sharp-tongued daughter, and the Garda, along with numerous other characters. I've witnessed his brilliance on multiple occasions, and his work here is no exception.
If you're a fan of Sophie, you won't be let down. Her distinct approach to character shines through in this book. And for all the Dame Agatha enthusiasts out there, this book, along with its predecessor, will bring you pure delight!
If you're into Agatha Christie, you'll definitely dig this book. Plus, the service adds an extra kick, although it does get a bit sluggish towards the end. Some tightening up would have done wonders.
I'm a big fan of chic mysteries, but this one doesn't fit the bill! It's a bit of a letdown, so maybe consider giving it another shot. The story felt disjointed and there were parts that were painfully skipped over, leading to a lackluster ending. The first book in a new series had potential, but it unfortunately fell short. My apologies for the negative review.
In my opinion, this book was way too wordy and exhausting. The narrator did a good job, but the storyline didn't live up to the standards of Poirot. Maybe if it had been edited better, but honestly, it dragged on for too long with numerous unnecessary descriptions and irritating characters, particularly Doro.

Despite not being part of the original literary canon, "Closed Casket" still manages to deliver an enjoyable narrative. However, it's crucial to accept that this is an alternate and imperfect interpretation of Poirot and his abilities. If you can embrace this perspective, you'll find pleasure in the tale; if not, it may not be your cup of tea.
The story itself was fine typical Hercule Poirot/Agatha Christie mystery, however, the narration drove me insane! It would be super loud one second and then down to a whisper the next I was constantly having to turn up and down the volume. This was for the entire book, for this reason cannot recommend.
