Dean Koontz is one of those authors who can be hit or miss, and unfortunately, "Darkfall" falls into the miss category for me. I might consider giving it another shot, but with an abundance of excellent books waiting to be read, it won't be at the top of my list. I'm usually a fan of Koontz, but I would recommend avoiding this particular book.
It was a solid audiobook, enjoyable to listen to, but the ending was quite disappointing. I can't understand why the author chose to leave it unresolved.
Just like every time, Dean Koontz brings forth an immense amount of suspense and intrigue in 'Darkfall'. Being an author myself (my own novel is set to release next year), I am constantly amazed by Koontz's unique style and exceptional talent for storytelling. To put it simply, there is no other writer out there who can surpass him!
