I was completely absorbed in the story and connected with the characters.

I'm definitely going to continue with the rest of the series.
Terry Goodkind has this amazing ability to captivate your interest by striking the perfect balance between providing just the right amount of detail and keeping the story action-packed. He truly knows how to create characters that you genuinely care about, as if they were real people. I'm currently re-reading all the books in the series to catch up with the latest installments that he released after concluding the previous series. 'Debt of Bones' serves as an excellent refresher for immersing yourself back into this captivating world while also being a satisfying standalone story. It's perfect for a single sitting of pure entertainment. I can't recommend it enough!
This was a very short book. But, it is very well written and the narrator is one of the best I have heard. It is a great "back story" to the primary Sword of Truth series. Rally gives some good back fill on Wizard Zed character and helps define some of the precepts to the start of the main series.
