  • Perfect for the pre-teen crowd. However, the setting in 1967 feels a bit old-fashioned. The plot tends to meander for too long, and the narration comes across as excessively theatrical. Additionally, the recurring themes can become quite tedious.
  • As a kid, I was totally into this book. I got this service to listen to it with my daughter, and it turned out to be a hit. By the time we reached the end of the story, even my other two kids came over and were eager to find out what happens. Funny thing is, I still dig the story just as much now as I did back then!
  • I can't recall if I read this as a child or if it slipped past me, but it's a highly enjoyable book that turned out to be more sophisticated than expected. It tackles some weighty topics, but overall, it captures the essence of a simpler era. It's like a detective story and adventure for kids, with themes like runaways, hiding, and the perspective of parents that may require some discussion in today's society. Nonetheless, it remains a great read that showcases the power of imagination and critical thinking in children.
  • I absolutely love this book, it's definitely one of my favorites. The narrator does an excellent job bringing the story to life. However, my only issue lies with the chapter divisions. Unfortunately, they aren't clearly marked, making it quite challenging to locate specific chapters without having to constantly fast forward and rewind.
  • As an adult, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book despite it being targeted towards children. The story has a whimsical touch, and the idea of running away to the Metropolitan Museum of Art is quite imaginative.
  • When I was a kid, I had the chance to read this book and boy, did I enjoy it! The whole idea of being stuck inside a museum was absolutely thrilling. The author and Jill Clayburgh did an amazing job of describing everything so vividly that it's no surprise this book is still considered a classic. And the best part? I can now experience the excitement all over again anytime I feel like it.
  • I used to love this book when I was in fifth grade. Every time I read or listen to it, I'm reminded of how timeless it is. It's a fantastic story that anyone can enjoy and keep going back to. Share this gem with your young readers!
  • Me and my granddaughter were hooked on this audiobook for the past few days. It was a go-to choice for her stepmom, and even though their lives are pretty different, she felt a connection to the story. She related to Claudia's emotions and had a blast experiencing the adventure. I gotta admit, I was still tearing up in the final 20 minutes.
  • Ever since I discovered this book back in my elementary school days, it has held a special place in my heart. Now, as a parent, I get to relive those cherished memories and pass on the joy of reading this book to my two little girls.
