  • This book is a prequel to the entire Iron Druid series. It's really entertaining, with Atticus and Oberon taking the spotlight, and a brief appearance by Hal and The Widow (I really miss her). The inclusion of the Egyptian pantheon adds an interesting twist to the story, and I hope it gets further explored in the future. Oberon always delivers the best lines, and his mind being blown had me cracking up. I'm usually not a fan of short stories or novellas within a longer series, but Hearne manages to make it work. It doesn't feel rushed, and although I wished it was longer, there aren't many loose ends by the end. I can't wait for Hunted to come out; the excerpt just made me crave more. The short story was a great bonus, especially hearing it narrated by Luke Daniels. I absolutely love this series, Kevin Hearne, Luke Daniels, and this particular story.
  • I was a bit surprised that it has the same price as a complete book. Money isn't really a problem, but I just wanted to mention it. I really hope they give a generous tip to the narrator, Luke Daniels is absolutely fantastic.
  • I personally have a preference for the novellas and short stories that authors are releasing nowadays. The writing in these works is concise and moves at a quick pace. The stories themselves are intelligent and have a lighthearted feel to them. Overall, I found this particular tale to be incredibly enjoyable, so much so that I read it three times. Though I must admit, the excerpt provided is a bit misleading.
  • This novella serves as a bridge to delve deeper into certain characters. I had a great time with it, although I didn't think it was worth the price. Luke Daniels does an excellent job narrating, and he definitely ranks in my top 10 list. Ultimately, the enjoyment I derived from it didn't match the higher cost. Different opinions may vary.
  • This book is really well done, with excellent narration. I'm eagerly anticipating the next release from this author. Seriously, you should definitely get yourself a copy of this book.
  • I find that these small stories can be hit or miss, but this one is definitely a hit. I decided to buy it since the new book is on the horizon, and I'm glad I did. Honestly, I hope this series never ends! The story itself was enjoyable, and I would give the entire series a solid five-star rating.
  • I really enjoyed 'Grimoire of the Lamb: An Iron Druid Chronicles Novella'. Even though it's a shorter book, it's absolutely delightful. The dynamic between Oberon and Atticus is fantastic and makes for a great read. I found it particularly enjoyable to see Atticus collaborate with Egyptian gods for the first time, adding an element of fun, lightness, and wit to the story. Overall, it's a highly recommended read.
  • This one is alright, but it doesn't quite measure up to the high standard set by the author's other works. It's definitely worth giving it a go, but if you're being picky, you might notice that it doesn't quite reach the same level as "Hounded" or "Hexed."
