Summary
From the creator of Bulletproof Coffee and author of the bestselling The Bulletproof Diet comes a revolutionary plan to upgrade your brainpower—in two weeks or less.
This book has a ton of valuable information! I gained a wealth of knowledge from it, although I must admit that it did feel a bit lengthy. Additionally, the author promotes some pricey products, which is fantastic if you have the means to afford them. However, they also provide alternative options that are accessible to anyone at their local grocery store. They even outline the types of foods to prioritize and avoid, which is quite helpful.
I modified my diet and put into practice the methods outlined in this book, and I'm already noticing significant improvements in just three weeks. Mentally, I feel more focused and alert. I've also kicked the habit of eating every three hours. Even my friends have noticed that I no longer appear excessively thin. To clarify, I wasn't following an exclusively Cheetos-eating vegan diet. I mainly consumed beans, rice, spinach, fruits, and nuts. However, I struggled to feel satisfied, and my blood work, especially my Triglyceride levels, were alarmingly high. I plan to revisit this book multiple times as it contains a wealth of valuable information.

The book feels like one giant promotional pamphlet written by a person with a lot of paranoia. I decided to stop reading it before it had a negative impact on me.
I'm really disappointed that this book was even available as a choice. It's quite clear that this book is just a never-ending sales pitch. Save your money and don't buy it!
I've been a loyal customer of Dave Asprey for quite some time now, and I've been enjoying his bulletproof coffee for a whole three years (wow, time flies!). I absolutely love it, believe in its benefits, and it makes me feel amazing! Dave's pioneering work and the insightful interviews he conducts always leave me impressed.
For years, I've lived by the motto: "be the change you want to see!" As someone in their 70s, I don't have time to waste or figure things out at a slow pace. This book has been a fantastic stepping stone on my journey, giving me a much-needed boost! ❤😘
I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to enhance their overall performance in life.
Specifically, individuals who are already dealing with health issues like chronic fatigue, unexplained aches and pains, brain fog, and poor quality sleep.
The book is exceptionally well-written and backed by extensive research.
What I loved most about this book:
1. It provides practical and easy-to-implement steps.
2. Includes lists of supplements and meals to incorporate.
3. The writing style is engaging and not overly academic, striking a perfect balance.
4. It offers cutting-edge information that you may not have come across elsewhere, unless you're already familiar with the Bulletproof podcast or other health and wellness resources.
5. Written by Dave Asprey, a master at connecting the dots and helping readers grasp the significance of learning this material.
I gotta say, I haven't read The Bulletproof Diet, so I can't compare the two. But let me tell you, I absolutely loved this book. Just a heads up though, the author can get a bit technical at times, so it might be helpful to have Google on standby.
So here's the deal, I first heard about the Bulletproof diet around mid-2016, and like all other diets, I brushed it off. But then I decided to give this book a go last November, and man, am I glad I did. Ever since then, I've been starting my mornings with a cup of Bulletproof coffee, and my only regret is not hopping on the bandwagon sooner.
For those who are new to Bulletproof, Head Strong suggests following a modified ketogenic diet, and it dives into a ton of other juicy details (seriously, you gotta read the book for all the deets) about how to fuel our mitochondria. I gotta say, just by following the Head Strong program to about 80% or more, the results have been mind-blowing. Both me and my girlfriend have become pretty much Bulletproof, especially from Sunday to Thursday. And let me tell you, the increase in physical and mental energy has been off the charts. We've also shed some pounds and our food cravings have drastically reduced. I highly recommend incorporating as much of this book (especially the diet part) into your lifestyle as possible. And to wrap it up, if you're still one of those people who think saturated fat is worse for you than sugar, you're just being silly, my friend.
The book has quite a bit of marketing hype going on. It seems to be overly focused on mitochondria, without providing many practical tips for the average person to implement.
Dave Asprey, the author of 'Head Strong: The Bulletproof Plan to Activate Untapped Brain Energy to Work Smarter and Think Faster - in Just Two Weeks', presents his ideas with a good writing style. While he claims to be a successful entrepreneur, it's important to note that he lacks expertise in the field of Neuroscience. In the beginning of the book, Asprey discusses fatigue, mitochondria, and their connection to the brain, without providing proper scientific references to support his claims. As a MD and holder of a DSc in Neuroscience, as well as an expert in Brain Evolution, I feel compelled to mention that Asprey relies on outdated theories like Paul McLean's triune brain theory to support his simplistic proposals on brain function. It is crucial to seek specialized medical help if you experience symptoms described by Asprey, such as fatigue and forgetfulness, rather than solely attributing them to your mitochondria and relying on the opinion of a non-specialist. Personally, I have dealt with chronic fatigue, which was eventually diagnosed as brain cancer after thorough clinical investigations, including a brain biopsy. This required specific treatment and medical care, including radio and chemotherapy. It is important to remember that nothing can replace real medical science and proper medical assistance when it comes to our health.
