  • In 'Hell Divers II: Ghosts: The Hell Divers Series, Book 2', Tin takes charge of a bunch of low-ranking soldiers who seem to be running endlessly from mindless and useless creatures. However, the absence of the main character X gives it a sense of emptiness, like being in your buddy's house when they're not around - no excitement or risk involved.
  • This is the second installment in a trilogy, and it delves deeper into the post-apocalyptic world infested with mutated creatures. The underground facilities hold even more terrifying secrets. As a casual listener who loves sci-fi and apocalyptic horror, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has quickly become one of my favorites. Don't pass up on this one!
  • Hell Divers II: Ghosts takes place a decade after the events of the original Hell Divers. X was abandoned and presumed dead on Earth's surface. However, a new generation of Hell Divers has emerged, led by a new captain who has changed their approach. But everything is about to change once again. The story seamlessly continues from where the previous book left off. Smith's writing style is captivating, keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout. Fans of the first book will definitely find enjoyment in this installment. The cast of characters has undergone some changes, but there are a few familiar faces. One particularly enjoyable aspect is reading about X's adopted son, known as "Tin," and his new adventures as an adult Hell Diver. This book delves into various struggles faced by the characters. There is the struggle for survival on multiple fronts, the struggle to maintain the ship, the struggle against mutiny, and the struggle for self-preservation. The overarching sense of struggle adds depth to the story, as it reflects the harsh reality that humans face, especially those who have been airborne for two centuries. The talented R.C. Bray delivers an outstanding narration of Hell Divers II: Ghosts. His voice perfectly captures the diverse range of characters that Smith has written, and at times, he truly embodies these individuals. All in all, Ghosts is a gripping read that will keep you hooked from start to finish. It's a book that I couldn't put down, and now I anxiously await the release of the third installment (hopefully narrated by Bray!).
  • This book is written real good, man, with awesome character development and the narrator's voice is just spot on, it totally fits the vibe of the book and keeps you hooked, man. You'll be on the edge of your seat, not wanting to stop listening, dude. Trust me, it's a great book and totally worth using one of your audio credits on.
  • This sequel to the first book is fantastic. The second installment is packed with thrilling action, intriguing mystery, and exhilarating suspense. It truly has it all! Moreover, the storyline is incredibly unique, showcasing exceptional imagination. It captivates you from start to finish, making it impossible to leave your seat. Simply amazing!
  • I've gone through my fair share of post-apocalyptic books, and let me tell you, finding one with an awesome plot and top-notch narration can be a challenge. However, after diving into the second book of this series, I can genuinely say I've stumbled upon a hidden gem.
  • It seems to me that the release of this title was mainly to capitalize on the success of the previous books, with repetitive fight scenes dominating the narrative. What disappointed me the most was how the main character was largely absent from the story, even though he was the sole reason why I purchased this book in order to follow his journey.
