  • There are a couple of things to think about here. The book presents a compilation of anecdotal stories and examples of both good and bad behaviors, along with personal guidelines on how to act and behave. However, these guidelines may be more flexible than what the author suggests. Additionally, the author provides advice on giving compliments that may not be suitable for the modern workplace, specifically when it comes to complimenting someone's physical appearance. While it may be acceptable in social settings like parties or bars, it is definitely not recommended in a professional environment.
  • Both men and women will find this book highly relatable. It is not exclusively targeted towards women, as it offers valuable insights for all readers. The narration is delivered with clarity, pleasantness, and a well-maintained pace. I particularly enjoyed the clever "big cats/ little cats" theme employed throughout the book. The author not only explains the behaviors of each type but also sheds light on why one approach proves more effective and provides guidance on implementing the big cat strategy. Each chapter wraps up with a perfect combination of key concepts, vivid imagery, practical examples, and actionable steps. While listening, I constantly found myself thinking, "Ah, now it all makes sense!", "Oops, I should remember that!", or "Now I have the knowledge to..."
  • Some of the tips are pretty basic, but it's important to remember to incorporate them into your regular interactions. Things like making eye contact instead of staring at your computer screen while talking to a colleague are essential. Another helpful suggestion is to try new activities every month to broaden your experiences and be able to talk about them knowledgeably. Surprisingly, one trick advises being slow to smile. Instead of immediately grinning when introduced to someone, it's better to assess the situation and then smile. This way, it comes across as genuine and shows that you're genuinely pleased to meet them. Rapidly flashing a smile might make the other person feel less special, as if it's just an automatic reaction. Personally, I plan on practicing a few of these tricks and once I've mastered them, I'll dive back into the book to pick out another batch to work on.
