The story was alright, but it felt kind of like plain popcorn without any butter...left me a little unsatisfied by the end. It wasn't a complete waste of time, but there are definitely better options in the same genre.
The love interest in this book was a major issue for me, to the point where it completely spoiled the entire story. The way he invades Nora's life and acts overly persistent and unsettling was a major turn-off. Instead of feeling empowered, Nora ends up lacking agency and control over her own narrative. I would rate this book a 2 out of 10, as it fails to provide an empowering experience and overall gives off negative vibes.
This book really shows how a captivating cover and effective marketing can make even a terrible book sell. Despite the promising cover, the contents of this book are disappointingly dull and predictable. It's hard to ignore the fact that the story is a blatant rip-off of Twilight. Overall, this book was a huge waste of time and definitely not worth listening to.
