Mr. Ian really keeps it real in this book. Mad props to him. I've been a huge thrash fan since day one, so it was hella awesome to listen to these tales.

As someone who has been a die-hard fan of Anthrax for as long as I can remember, I can confidently say that "I'm the Man: The Story of That Guy from Anthrax" lived up to my expectations. It struck the perfect balance between entertaining humor, authentic real-life anecdotes, intense drama, personal growth, and of course, the obligatory wild rock star tales. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of reading this book.
I absolutely adored this book. Frankie's book was a great read for me last week, and I've listened to Scott's audiobook twice this week. Anthrax has been my all-time favorite band since the 80s. Listening to these stories was like embarking on an incredible journey spanning the past 35 years.
I gotta tell ya, I had a blast listening to this book read by Scotty. I was kind of worried that it would be a snooze-fest, but luckily it exceeded my expectations. Scotty really knows how to keep the listener hooked with tales from his childhood and his time in the band. It was a real treat to hear about Metallica's humble beginnings and how Anthrax became part of the legendary "big 4" of metal. And let's not forget about all the cool collaborations they did with other bands. I'm kicking myself for not discovering this gem sooner. Scotty, you're the man!
I've always been a huge fan of Scott Ian, he's got to be one of the most talented guitarists out there. So, you can imagine how stoked I was to listen to his story in "I'm the Man: The Story of That Guy from Anthrax". And let me tell you, it was absolutely fantastic! Not only is he a master on the guitar, but he's also got a wicked sense of humor. The way he tells his story is hilarious, and I couldn't help but laugh out loud throughout the audiobook. Highly recommend it!
I'm stoked that I decided to give this audiobook a listen instead of reading it, especially since it's narrated by Scott himself. The way he tells his story is absolutely mind-blowing. His humor, impersonations, and different voices had me cracking up throughout. On top of that, I learned a bunch of interesting information that I never knew before, like Cliff's love for REM and how he introduced Scott to their music by wearing their shirts. All in all, this audiobook is an absolute gem.
