I've been listening to 'Ink' for a couple of hours now, and right from the beginning, I'm hooked. It's absolutely captivating, enthralling, and keeps me completely engrossed. I'm finding it so hard to resist the temptation of finishing it all at once. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next installment in the series, and the one after that, and the one after that. The story just keeps improving and keeps me more and more captivated.
The first time around, I struggled a bit because the scene of the main events was unfamiliar to me. Fandom and everything that comes with it is foreign to me and not immediately understandable. By now, I must have listened to the book at least 4 times, just like the others in the series. Every time, I discover something new that I had missed before, and the Strike series is a delight for me. I can't wait for the next installment to come out. I love the length of the books, the complexity of the case and everything surrounding it, and the development of the characters with all their quirks.
'Ink' is a decent addition to the overall amazing story, but regrettably falls a bit short compared to the previous installments. It may not be the best choice for an audiobook due to the abundance of tweets incorporated into the narrative. Additionally, the main case lacks the same level of excitement as the previous adventures, and the minor cases and background story don't contribute much of significant interest. Nonetheless, I'm eagerly anticipating the release of book 7!
