    Some folks might find this book to be a game-changer. The deep thoughts and captivating narrative in "Jayber Crow" are truly legendary. Wendell Berry, a total boss when it comes to writing, has a real passion for the great outdoors and a whole lot of reverence for the cosmos. You can totally feel it in this mind-blowing novel that takes place in the good ol' days of America, spanning from the 1920s to the 1970s.

    I've only heard amazing things about this book, and because of that, I've been hesitant to read it, fearing that I might not enjoy it and end up in the minority. But let me tell you, this book has become one of my all-time favorites, easily in my top three. It's a truly beautiful, truthful, and good book that evoked in me a deep longing for "home" that tugged at my soul. The narrator's performance was just perfect, capturing the nuances of the voices with thoughtful inflections and a wonderfully rich cadence. I was so captivated by it that I immediately started it over again, and I have a feeling that even after another reading, it won't be enough to satisfy me for a while.

    The story is incredibly engrossing and has a leisurely pace that keeps you hooked till the very end. It's the kind of book that leaves you feeling a bit wistful because you know that the initial experience of reading it won't happen again. The narrator did a fantastic job. I couldn't have chosen a more perfect voice for Jayber Crow. It's almost unbelievable that he's not the actual character! Being my first Wendell Berry novel, I'm eagerly anticipating delving into more of his work.

    I went back to this book for a second round and let me tell you, it was even better than the first time. It's like reading a really long poem, and Berry's choice of words is so carefully put together that they take you beyond the story and into your own personal moments. It's a little sad, but in a way that pulls you in, not just on an emotional level.
