    There were just way too many narrators for my taste. The storyline felt quite silly and didn't appeal to me. I actually enjoyed "Stillhouse Lake," but unfortunately, "Killman Creek" didn't live up to my expectations. It was pretty disappointing, to be honest.

    I was let down by 'Killman Creek'. The first book was impressive, but this one took a nosedive. The characters that were once strong and compelling in book 1 have turned into annoying, complaining individuals. This frustrating dynamic persists for the first 23 chapters. To add to the disappointment, after certain events that make Gina appear guilty, Sam suddenly despises her. However, within a couple of pages, his thoughts shift to him developing feelings for her. The storyline completely shifts in book 2, focusing on a mysterious organization instead of the family horror aspect found in book 1. Additionally, the narrator's performance falls short at times, as they mistakenly make Javier sound Oriental.
