The writing and performance of 'Love & Gelato' were top-notch. I absolutely adored it! The way the characters' journey and emotions were depicted made me truly experience and understand them.
Love & Gelato is a delightful romantic comedy set in one of my dream destinations. It transported me to the beautiful streets of Italy, immersing me in the vivid descriptions that made me crave a delicious combination of a chocolate croissant and gelato.
Here's my take on the review of 'Love & Gelato':
I gotta say, I was a bit skeptical about this book at first because I thought it might be too juvenile for my taste (considering I'm 35). But I gotta admit, it totally exceeded my expectations and I was hooked till the very end. It's a super adorable teenage romance that somehow manages to reignite that hope in love.
I had a great time with "Love & Gelato" as I followed Lena's journey of overcoming challenges in Italy. Definitely recommend giving it a read, it's truly fantastic.
I absolutely adored this book! After re-reading I Love You so Mochi, I was on a mission to discover another novel that captured the same essence, and Love & Gelato definitely delivered! It was an enchanting tale that, although somewhat predictable at times, still had a heartwarming charm. What I particularly loved was that it didn't solely revolve around the romance but had a compelling storyline of its own. The protagonist was incredibly relatable, and her emotions were palpable throughout. It simply felt like a beautifully crafted piece of writing.
I hate to give a negative review, because I understand that this book may appeal to others. However, I personally found the story to be quite juvenile and lacking in excitement. There was minimal tension, which didn't keep me engaged. On the positive side, the book was sweet and the characters were likable. But I struggled with the fact that the entire story took place in just five days, even though the protagonist was there for the entire summer. It felt rushed to me. Additionally, I'm not a fan of characters falling in love within such a short period of time. However, considering that they are only 16 or 17 years old, it could be seen as more of an infatuation. Overall, it was a quick listen, but it didn't have me eagerly flipping the pages.
