I really enjoyed reading this book. However, the narrator completely spoiled the experience for me. His overly dramatic tone made it difficult to truly appreciate the emotional moments and ultimately detracted from the overall atmosphere of the book.
I tried listening to this audiobook for two hours, but I couldn't continue. The narrator's attempt to sound tough and raspy was a bit over the top, like Batman narrating a book. I might just grab a copy and read it myself at a later time.
I don't understand why they choose these narrators with a "tough" vibe to read books about the military. I couldn't move past my irritation with this guy's silly voice to absorb the content.

The person who wrote this review seems to believe that the narrator chosen for this audiobook was not a good fit. They go as far as describing the narrator as a "total dork" and make a colorful comparison, stating that it would be similar to if Chuck Norris had a child with a crackhead who then went on to read books on tape.
The title says it all. The inflection is absolutely terrible. However, the book itself is great. It contains incredible insights and some really impressive one-liners.
No matter the age of your son, this book is a must-read for fathers. Not only did it enhance my skills as a dad, it also improved my role as a husband, ultimately saving my marriage.
This book is a treasure trove of valuable information, presented in a side-splittingly funny manner.
