  • Seriously, Megan Kelly, is this your best effort? You've constantly emphasized your perfectionism and work ethic, claiming that success always comes your way. However, this book falls short of expectations.
  • I initially had a positive opinion of Megyn during her early days at Fox, especially since we both have kids of similar ages. However, as the years went by, I noticed a change in her demeanor. I had high hopes for her book 'Settle for More' as I wanted to rekindle my admiration for her. Unfortunately, I found it quite distasteful that she would choose such a title when her book actually involves bashing others. Regardless of whether we like them or not, she definitely did not take the high road. I was genuinely hoping for a motivational and inspiring read, but I ended up disappointed. Megyn's focus seems scattered throughout the book, with a significant portion dedicated to bashing Trump. It's evident that he really got under her skin, as indicated by the many pages dedicated to criticizing him. I had hoped she could have used this as an opportunity to set a higher standard and be a positive role model, especially for the younger generation, but unfortunately, she ended up behaving in a similar manner.
  • In "Settle for More," the author highlights that the pursuit of "more" should not revolve around fame, money, or talent, but rather be centered on finding joy, embracing forgiveness, and cultivating a harmonious family life.
  • I just want to say a big thank you for this book! It's absolutely empowering and the writing is top-notch. I really have to give you props for that. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more from you in the future!
  • After witnessing the way Megyn Kelly skillfully maneuvers the complex world of politics and energetically endeavors to undermine her former allies, my confidence in her integrity and empathy completely waned. It appears that she is willing to compromise her values and integrity to secure higher ratings. Personally, I'm not a supporter.
  • Reading "Settle for More" has truly transformed me as a person, not just as a woman, wife, mother, and grandmother, but also as a citizen. Megyn Kelly's heartfelt and powerful narration has had a profound impact on me.
  • Man, I gotta say, 'Settle for More' is definitely an autobiography that really focuses on the author herself, no doubt about it. However, the entirety of the book seems to be one continuous humblebrag, constantly going on about how absolutely dreadful it can be to be in the limelight every now and then. Come on, seriously? You willingly chose this path, didn't you?
  • This book comes across as a big show-off. It's got way too many repetitive ideas. Once you get through a few chapters, there's nothing new left to learn about her personal development or experiences.
  • I'm totally in love with this book! I found it to be extremely eye-opening and honest. It didn't try to sugarcoat anything, which was refreshing. As a woman in the professional world, I found it to be incredibly inspiring.
  • I really liked her story. The writing was solid and the narration was on point. It was definitely worth my time and I'll definitely be suggesting it to others. Thanks a lot, Megyn, for sharing your story!
  • I wasn't a fan of this book. At the start, MK appears relatable and down-to-earth, but once she joins Fox and meets her husband, I lost that connection. She portrays a flawless life that most women would never openly acknowledge. If you're dealing with struggles of perfection, this book won't be of assistance. I had to put it down. I'll give it a two-star rating for its promising beginning.
  • The book was okay - not incredibly exciting, but still good. A lot of the points were familiar to me, but I did find myself using a quote from Megyn during a class with professionals, so I definitely took something away from it. Plus, regardless of my opinion about the book, Megyn is undeniably a strong and impressive individual.
  • I wanna give a big shoutout for penning this awesome book. I gotta admit, I was sleepin' on Fox News and Megyn Kelly, but man, I regret it now. My mama put me onto her and her achievements. This book really hit me deep. The thing that really resonated with me was Megyn's approach to dealing with stuff. She's all about keepin' it real and showin' respect. Damn, I really wish this book was around when I was in my prime at 25!
  • Seriously, I dare you to find any book on this platform that boasts an impressive 43 five-star reviews from almost every reader. And we're not just talking about five stars for the story, but also for the performance and overall experience. What's interesting is the lack of visible faces of the reviewers, which is usually a common sight in other book reviews. Instead, there's this repetitive image of a dog wearing earphones. It all screams "FAKE reviews" loud and clear. In fact, to be safe, I'd say you should assume all of these reviews are bogus... except for mine, of course. Interestingly, the reviews for the Kindle version were absolutely terrible, and to make matters worse, the service actually removed all the legitimate negative reviews. And let's not forget about the abundance of one-line reviews. That's usually a red flag for fake reviews.
  • I never caught Megyn on Fox News, but I got into her podcast when it dropped in 2020 and I'm totally hooked. And I gotta say, reading this book has made me love her even more. I've got mad respect for her hustle, determination, down-to-earth attitude, and unwavering honesty. She's the kind of person I'd proudly point out to my own daughter as a true role model.
  • Megyn's perspective on being truthful, having strong morals, and maintaining a strong work ethic, all while balancing family life and career aspirations, was both enlightening and motivating. Her insights and supporting evidence address the common challenges we all face, and personally, I found a deep connection with much of her content. This newfound knowledge will undoubtedly have a practical impact on my own life. Appreciation for sharing your experiences!
  • I'm a huge fan of autobiographies, especially when they're narrated by the authors themselves. It's great to hear their words directly without any interpretation. I find it truly captivating to understand what factors shaped their personality and circumstances. However, I have to admit that listening to this book was quite a challenge. It wasn't because Ms. Kelly didn't face any struggles, but rather due to her in-depth focus on insignificant issues while glossing over more significant events with just a passing reference. The tone she adopted came across as patronizing, and her judgmental attitude towards others' choices was quite evident. I must say, I felt thoroughly let down by the book, as it shed light on why she may sometimes appear distant or unsympathetic.
  • I'm a big fan of Megyn, she's incredibly talented, stunning, and smart. The story in her book was really enjoyable, and her interpretation of it was absolutely fantastic.
  • I really loved reading this book! As a mother of three young adult women, I found it incredibly relatable. I want to congratulate the author on their well-deserved success.
  • I can't wrap my head around the hardships Megyn Kelly faced in 2015, but her incredible strength in handling each blow is truly remarkable. "Settle for More" is the book that has truly motivated me, showing me that I can endure tough times and confidently defend myself against discrimination or sexual assault.
  • I absolutely adored every moment of this audiobook. It had me completely captivated, and even my daughters couldn't tear themselves away from it. Both my eight-year-old and eighteen-year-old were equally engrossed. Megan, I want to express my gratitude for being your authentic self and for opening up and sharing your story. Your memoir has undoubtedly had a positive impact on at least three women in this world, and I must say, we were already pretty awesome before.
  • I was also really pissed off at Megyn for that first question she asked at the debate. But her story is actually pretty fascinating and it's really inspiring. I really admire everything Megyn has achieved and I'm super glad she decided to share her story. Plus, I absolutely love her sense of humor as well.
  • I found a good portion of the narration in 'Settle for More' to be somewhat annoying and repetitive. While I understand and can relate to some of the author's experiences and challenges, there are moments when the storytelling feels like a combination of gossip and a biased perspective on events, which come across as self-serving to some extent. As a professional woman myself, I struggle to fully connect with the overall feminist tone of the book. Instead, I prefer championing women's roles in society and the workplace by focusing on my skills and abilities without bringing gender into the equation. In my opinion, anyone, regardless of gender, should strive to excel at their craft to the best of their ability.
  • Megyn Kelly does an amazing job of giving us insight into her personal life, starting from her upbringing, through her experiences in high school and college, her early career, and now her role as a respected journalist, wife, and mother. This is not just your typical memoir about someone's life. It goes beyond that. It is uplifting, inspiring, and brimming with excellent advice and motivation to make the most out of life. Reading this book came at a crucial moment in my own life, and I can relate to much of what Megyn expresses in her words. I am grateful for that connection. It has been quite some time since I've come across a book that I couldn't put down. Since I listened to the audiobook version, I eagerly looked forward to getting back in my car and turning it on. Although I haven't really watched Megyn, apart from the debates (FOX News isn't a channel I frequently watch), I can confidently say that I am now a fan who will make sure to tune into her show. Her approach to reporting with integrity and fairness is refreshing, and her voice draws you into the narrative, allowing you to become emotionally invested. I strongly recommend that everyone pick up a copy of this book and "Settle For More."
  • I absolutely loved reading this book and I was seriously blown away by Megyn Kelly's genuine nature and her openness to reveal personal stories! It's amazing to see how she has consistently handled bullies with grace and strength. Major props to her!
  • I gotta say, I don't really vibe with a good chunk of her perspective on life. The whole book gives off this vibe of talking down to others, which I just couldn't overlook. It feels like she has a pretty narrow outlook on the world. That being said, I give her props for doing what she believes is right and I respect her for being honest about it.
  • Megyn Kelly shares her personal journey, including her relationships, life events, and valuable takeaways with great eloquence in "Settle for More". Apart from her evident wit, she authentically showcases her vulnerability, deep insights, and charming self-mockery. I greatly appreciate her admirable principles, as she refrains from engaging in petty arguments. With an eventful life, she has truly made the most of her experiences. I'm eagerly anticipating the release of Volume 2!
  • I really liked the book "Settle for More". Megyn is incredibly intelligent. It was disappointing to see her betray the older gentleman at Fox who had supported her so much. I guess you can never truly know someone.
  • The narration in "Settle for More" is absolutely fantastic. It is truly inspiring, encouraging, and entertaining. I have a great deal of admiration for Megyn and all the qualities she embodies - her independence, intelligence, thoughtfulness, and strong convictions. I am especially grateful for her self-awareness and her openness in sharing valuable insights and life lessons from various stages of her remarkable journey.
  • I must say, I was quite disturbed by her demeanor. The adversities she claims to have faced were nothing but a result of her privileged background that handed her everything she possesses. It's clear from her own statements that she lacks any sense of shame.
  • Megyn Kelly is undoubtedly a successful woman who excels in various roles, including being a devoted wife and mother. Throughout the audiobook, she emphasizes these accomplishments, although it is unclear whether she aims to convince the listener or herself. Surprisingly, Megyn portrays herself as both a victim and a drama queen, aside from her legitimate concerns regarding her deranged stalker. The constant references to battle and war become tiresome, especially considering that she is merely engaging with people she disagrees with, rather than facing actual life-and-death struggles. The notion that Megyn's experiences align with the challenges faced by everyday moms and women is absurd and laughable. It's important to recognize that many women endure far worse circumstances, such as poverty and domestic violence, without complaining. While I appreciate her venting in this book, I hope she can break free from her bubble and confront the realities that others face.
  • I absolutely adored every aspect of this book, and I wasn't really a big fan of Megyn Kelly before. I mean, I always recognized her as a diligent and respectable person, but I hadn't fully appreciated her. Surprisingly, this memoir isn't overly political like one might expect from a journalist who previously worked at Fox News. Instead, it delves into the personal journey of a woman who confronted various obstacles, unexpected twists, and hardships in her life, and ultimately triumphed over them, emerging as a stronger individual. I was completely engrossed in this book, finishing it in just two days. It was so captivating that I couldn't bring myself to put it down!
  • Before diving into "Settle for More," I had limited knowledge about Megyn Kelly. However, over the course of two days, I immersed myself in her captivating tale. The book beautifully illustrates her journey and the relentless efforts she exerted to cultivate a fulfilling life. As a result, I have become an ardent admirer of her and hold her in high regard. I wholeheartedly endorse this book, as it offers a plethora of invaluable guidance for women from all walks of life.
  • At first, I had a lot of respect for Megyn and was impressed by her intelligence and determination. However, over time, I started to develop a dislike for her sense of entitlement, which made it difficult for me to continue reading.
  • I may not share the same age as Megan, in fact, I'm old enough to be her mother. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Settle for More' and found myself connecting with many of the topics she discussed. Just like Megan, I also experienced bullying during my sixth-grade years. Her ambitious nature coupled with her kindness and supportiveness towards those in both superior and inferior positions resonated with me. As a mother myself, I could relate to her experiences with nursing all her babies, an act that wasn't always seen as acceptable. I'm genuinely pleased to know that she is raising her children within the church, as it will undoubtedly be advantageous for their future. Additionally, it's heartwarming to witness the strong support and mutual respect between Megan and her husband.
  • I've been a fan of Megan Kelly for a while now. I really connected with her on a personal level while reading this book. Megan shares her journey of heartbreak, pain, and the determination and resilience that comes with it. It's truly inspiring. I admire her sense of humor, and after finishing the book, I felt recharged and ready to tackle new challenges. This book is truly fantastic, written by an incredible woman!
  • I absolutely loved this book. Listening to the narration feels like spending quality time with a close friend. I hope my daughter grows up to embody the same qualities as Megyn: resilient, grounded, and fiercely independent. Maybe I'm a bit partial since I've been in the TV news industry for twenty years, and my sister has also pursued a career as an anchor in another city. Megyn Kelly brings exactly what local news needs on a grand scale. I can't emphasize enough how fantastic her book is.
  • As a conservative, I decided to give "Settle for More" a listen because I was curious about the criticism Kelly received. I went into it with an open mind. Initially, I was hopeful and ready to enjoy the book. But I was taken aback by how difficult and uncomfortable it was to actually listen to. The main issue was Kelly's voice, which sounded very monotone and slow. It almost made me wonder if she had a glass of wine while recording. To keep myself engaged, I had to increase the playback speed to 1.5x. The content of the book never really evolved as I had expected. While I thought Kelly would provide insight into her conflict with Trump, I found myself feeling indifferent while listening. Another aspect I didn't like was how the majority of the book praised Fox and Alles (sp?), only to have the final chapter undermine it by revealing the "real story." It made the first two-thirds of the book feel insincere. The parts of the book that resonated with me were Kelly's chapters about her college experience and her journey into broadcasting. These were the moments where she seemed genuine. I genuinely wanted to like Kelly, but unfortunately, after finishing the book, I am left with the impression that it reflects the awkwardness of her life. On the bright side, at least her family life seems happy and stable.
  • I absolutely loved this book. Even though I'm not a viewer of Fox News, I caught an interview with Megyn and was drawn to the catchy title. It was such an inspiring and incredible read!
  • I've been a fan of Ms. Kelly for a long time. Not only is she a fair and unbiased journalist, she also comes across as a genuinely good person. As I read "Settle for More," I couldn't help but relate to Ms. Kelly's experiences. Like her, I was relentlessly bullied in 7th grade, and I also had a difficult final encounter with my father before he passed away. It was a heartbreaking experience that has had a negative impact on my life. I've carried that regret with me for years, and this book made me feel less alone in the challenges we've both faced. This book is a must-read for anyone who's wondering why they can't make positive changes in their life, and why they should strive for more. It also provides valuable insights into the Trump situation, revealing what really happened and the hardships she endured. There's so much more to the story than what people believe they know. You might just discover the truth behind the media frenzy. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it because it's written straight from the heart. Ms. Kelly is a true professional and one of the best journalists in the television industry. The fact that we're not aware of her political leanings is a testament to her skill and integrity.
  • Megyn Kelly has always stood out to me on Fox News as a commentator who provides fair coverage of social and political issues. While she has had some questionable moments, such as the "Santa is white kids" comment, overall she has taken a relatively progressive stance on a conservative platform. The main reason I was drawn to the book was to get a behind-the-scenes scoop on the recent Trump drama. In that aspect, this story definitely delivers some shocking and distressing details. However, it is important to understand this story in the context of her childhood and career, as there are often connections made to past experiences. Megyn has led a fascinating life and does a fantastic job portraying how motivation and hard work have propelled her towards success. She wasn't born into wealth or blessed with exceptional talent, as she herself admits, but she developed a sense of determination and always sought meaning and purpose in her work, life, and relationships. Her struggles with bullying, unsatisfying relationships, and work-life balance are both relatable and inspiring. Interestingly, I found myself enjoying her catchphrase "settle for more" the more she used it. To sum up, the book contains some intriguing details about the Trump/Ailes controversies. However, if that's the sole reason you're interested in reading it, you may want to reconsider. If you're open to gaining a comprehensive understanding of someone's life and looking for some inspiration, then you will enjoy this book much more.
  • This audiobook truly humanizes Megan, stripping away the glamour of lighting and makeup, allowing us to glimpse her true self. It shatters the illusions surrounding her as a television personality, revealing that it's not all about glitz and glamour.
  • Megyn's book, 'Settle for More', showcases her unique ability to charm and captivate readers, which is clearly reflected in her exceptional narration. I must confess that I held no particular views about Megyn Kelly prior to reading this book. However, after listening to her story, I have developed a genuine admiration for her and for the integrity of journalists who value honesty. It is evident that even the most influential figures have their fair share of challenges and setbacks, but it's important to strive for greatness amidst adversity.
  • This audiobook is filled with incredible tales that are enlightening and inspiring. It's refreshingly honest and easy to relate to. It's an ideal choice for women of all ages.
  • I really enjoyed the part where she talked about the early days of her career, it was truly inspiring. However, I felt like she went back to the debate topic multiple times, and it just didn't feel right. It seemed like she was lowering herself to a level that was beneath her. Towards the end of the book, I realized that it had lost its inspirational touch. It just didn't live up to my expectations and turned into a repetitive exploration of MK's personal emotions. Maybe those final chapters could be reworked once the initial impact of real-life events has settled. Anyway, I wish MK and her family all the best.
  • The performance and narration of the audiobook were solid. As I progressed about three-quarters into the book, I couldn't help but notice the author's constant desire to elevate herself above others, which became more apparent to me. Her pride seemed to have taken over, along with her assertive, feminist-leaning attitude towards men. The author's self-proclaimed "perfect life" was marred by the drama she created, resulting in numerous problems and pain. People, both men and women, are intimidated by her and struggle to guide her in her journey as a talented newscaster, journalist, wife, and mother due to her tough exterior. It was quite heartbreaking to read this book and discern the absence of humility. I have doubts if this book will receive the praise the author had hoped for.
  • I really enjoyed listening to Megyn's perspective in 'Settle for More'. She has a fantastic writing style and does an excellent job narrating the book. I'm definitely craving more of her work. Much appreciated!
  • The audiobook 'Settle for More' was expertly crafted, with an engaging story, compelling content, and stellar narration. Unlike many other books, this one managed to capture my attention throughout every chapter. Kudos to the creators for a job well done!
