I had an absolute blast reading this book! It's filled with laughter and tears, and I really enjoyed how each of the girls took turns narrating their chapters. It was a heartwarming reminder of the lovely stories they shared about Poppy when George H. W. Bush passed away. As a mom with four daughters, I sincerely hope that they too get to experience this extraordinary bond throughout their lives.
This audiobook was a fantastic listen! It's packed with the incredible life experiences and valuable life lessons shared by Jenna and Barbara. I genuinely adored every minute of it!
I was captivated by this book as it provided fascinating insights into the unique experience of having both your grandfather and father serve as presidents during your formative years, all while being constantly accompanied by Secret Service agents. Very few individuals can claim to have a president in their family lineage, let alone as immediate family members. However, I found the "Sisters" to be somewhat naive in their understanding of how everyday people lead their lives. It's challenging for anyone to truly comprehend the impact of their privileged upbringing on the average person's struggle to make a living.
Despite this, I did thoroughly enjoy reading the book. Just be aware that it does have a somewhat saccharine tone.
