  • The audiobook really allows you to resonate with the overall message of the book. The author's sense of humor and ability to relate to the audience really shine through. One particular chapter that stood out to me was when she discusses the importance of not succumbing to the temptation of seeking knowledge from the tree of good and evil.
  • Shoutout to Beth Moore for blazing a trail by sharing her personal struggles with insecurity. This book had me shedding tears, pouring my heart out in my journal, unleashing powerful prayers, and ultimately letting go of my insecurities to embrace the healing joy that the Lord had in store for me. Now, it's time to pass on this gem to another sister!
  • I really enjoyed how this book incorporated biblical references and Beth's insightful interpretations specifically for women. Regardless of your level of confidence, I wholeheartedly recommend this book to any woman, no matter what stage of life she's in. It may surprise you how much it resonates with you. It should be noted that it is quite a lengthy read, and I personally had to increase the speed to finish it within a reasonable timeframe. I even took a break midway, but don't let that discourage you.
  • I had kind of a love-hate relationship with this book. It had its fair share of strong points, with plenty of encouraging moments. However, some parts just made me feel like it was stating the obvious. I was hoping for a more profound impact from the book.
  • The narration of 'So Long, Insecurity: You've Been a Bad Friend to Us' lacks a smooth and conversational flow. Even though Beth Moore, the author, is the one narrating the book, it feels like she's trying a bit too hard. It almost feels like she's yelling or exerting a forceful tone, akin to how we try to get our kids' attention when they're misbehaving, saying something like "You better come here right this minute!"
  • I couldn't fully review this book because the narration was excessively cheesy and exaggerated. It's a bummer that the reader hindered me from completing it. So, I suggest checking out a sample before making a purchase, folks.
  • I actually got my hands on this book five years ago, but having Beth narrate it felt like grabbing a coffee with her and having a heart-to-heart chat. Thanks, Beth, for being real and upfront.
