I found this book to be a delightful and easy read. The characters were wonderfully crafted, and the problems they faced felt very relatable. I absolutely loved every moment of listening to this audiobook and it felt like I was engrossed in an exciting Lifetime movie. Every time I had to pause, I eagerly anticipated the next opportunity to dive back into the story.
The characters in 'Something Borrowed' were not relatable to me. They were a bunch of young, selfish, party-loving individuals in New York City. It wasn't a book that I absolutely loathed, but it definitely didn't make it to my list of favorites.
There's something about Emily Giffin's books that always catches my attention right from the start. Maybe it's because she includes nods to Andy Gibb, the Brady bunch, or all those nostalgic memories from my youth. Or perhaps it's simply because she tells a captivating story with intriguing characters. Even though I recognize that it falls into the "chick lit" category, it stands out among the rest of the genre. The narration is also well-done.
