Once I finished reading 'Star Wars: Rebel Rising', the movie Rogue One gave me a whole new understanding of Jyn. Holy cow! That girl went through some serious stuff.
The plot of 'Star Wars: Rebel Rising' is fairly straightforward and lacks unexpected twists. It doesn't possess the same depth as "Thrawn" or "Tarkin". While it is still enjoyable, it is considered one of the less captivating books within the new Canon.
Forget about it, folks. Don't waste your time with 'Star Wars: Rebel Rising'. It's not just a dull Star Wars read, it's a snooze-fest in general. Keep on searching, because this ain't the book you're after.
I wasn't a fan of the narrator they chose for this audiobook. The plot felt somewhat lackluster, but it did manage to keep me entertained as it delved into Jyn's background, adding more depth to her character in Rogue One.
