Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn are classic characters for a reason - they are truly delightful. The decision to have Nick Offerman as the narrator is simply brilliant. I couldn't get enough of it and was genuinely bummed when it came to an end.
If you gotta endure some Twain, this version is the bomb. Offerman kills it with his energetic and top-notch performance, even though the story itself falls flat. Tom Sawyer is still meh, just like it was back in the day when I was in high school 45 years ago. It's got its moments, but there are also some boring parts.
