Summary
In December 1975, the Lutz family moved into their new home on suburban Long Island. George and Kathleen Lutz knew that, one year earlier, Ronald DeFeo had murdered his parents, brothers, and sisters in the house, but the property'complete with boathouse and swimming pool'and the price were too good to pass up.
Man, that book was a total snooze-fest. I was waiting for something exciting to happen the whole time, but it never did. And then, just like that, it abruptly came to a close.
Whether it actually occurred or not, doesn't alter the fact that it's a rather gripping tale. I appreciate the writing style employed in the book. Anson describes it as a documentary, although I'm a bit skeptical about that, nevertheless, it's still an engaging narrative. Certain sections sent shivers down my spine and ultimately made the book worth the investment.
