Summary

I absolutely love how the tall, blond Van Dorn detective in 'The Assassin' never fails to keep me entertained. It's definitely one of my favorite books in the series. Great stuff! This is Ron from Boston, by the way.

It's really cool to learn about how people lived, traveled, and went about their daily activities. This book is no exception and is absolutely fantastic - a truly enjoyable read.
The storyline of "The Assassin" is quite engaging, with unexpected twists and an intriguing ending. The performance of the audiobook is commendable, adding to the overall experience. However, I found that there was an excessive amount of unnecessary violence in the story, which ultimately detracted from the enjoyment factor.
I'm totally hooked on this series now. There's something about the early 1900s backdrop that really gets me. Sure, some parts might be a bit unrealistic, but it still manages to hold my attention.

I've listened to all of the Isaac Bell books and I absolutely loved each one, but this particular one takes the cake as my favorite. The captivating story, thrilling adventures, and intriguing historical elements had me hooked from start to finish.
I found "The Assassin" to be quite intriguing. It was refreshing to see Issac, our good old protagonist, engaging in physical combat with women for a change - pretty impressive, I must say. The story had some fantastic plot twists that kept me hooked. And let's not forget the epilogue, which I absolutely adored. Now, I can't wait to dive into the next installment of the I.B. series.
Once again, Clive Cussler has really hit the mark with "The Assassin"! I'm a huge fan of all his books and this one certainly didn't disappoint. Scott Brick's narration brings the story to life in an engaging and captivating way. I can't get enough of this series and I really hope there will be more to come. Trust me, spending a credit to purchase and listen to this audiobook is totally worth it!

This just 'didn't do it for me'... I managed to get to the end of the second CD still without any understanding of who anyone was and what the plot was about. I found my attention wandering as I was driving... the storyline just did not manage to hold my attention, so I packed it all up again and sent it back.
A great read after I completed all the Vince Flynn/Mitch Rapp books.
I'm hooked and bought the whole Ryan Kealey series, narrator Christopher Lane is top draw as well.
I thought this book was excellent. I had not read the previous book but was able to follow this one easily. Fast moving story line that kept me interested.
