  • 1. There are no fatalities. 2. At what point did Carter cease evading the Mexicans? 3. Leana and Murder were in close proximity earlier. Are they both back in Florida now? 4. Carter easily believed that Miamore fled after receiving a letter. Just imagine if she hadn't escaped. 5. When did Estes start providing information to authorities? 6. Ashley and Jacquavis seem uninterested at this stage, but I'll continue listening in the hopes that they tie everything together.
  • This one had a lot happening! But I gotta say, I really enjoyed it! I'm a fan of Breeze and Zyir as a couple, and Carter and Miamor are another power couple that I love! Although, I'm not a fan of the way Mia seems to be walking on thin ice with Carter. He forgave her, so as long as she doesn't cross him or his family again, she should be good. And I think she loves him enough not to mess up. I did not see Murder coming back with that creepy obsession! It's like, seriously? In the first book, I liked Money, but now... he's just like his twin Mecca, and I hate it! Because of his actions, it's hard for me to root for him to be with Lena. I'm definitely excited for the next books in the series. I know we'll see the crew again... these three are smart, so I think it's just a minor setback. Looks like Miamor is taking charge now!
  • The Cartel series has one flaw that bothers me: the first three books are a bit scattered. However, the fourth book is an improvement since it doesn't overwhelm you with too many characters and their stories. It can be frustrating to listen to them in order, with characters dying and reappearing, and constantly switching from one character's story to another. I just hope that the remaining books in the series won't have the same scattered feel.
  • Watch out for spoilers: Okay, so here's the deal. In book 3, our crew is on the run from the menacing Mexican Cartel. Murda and Leah are trying to survive together on a plane. Fast forward to book 4, and they're back in Miami, running the Cartel themselves. Well, with a much smaller crew since the Mexicans wiped out most of their soldiers. Here's the crazy part - Carter goes to Brazil for, like, five minutes and magically finds a totally new contact. I mean, seriously, how does that even happen? And how does trust just pop up out of nowhere like that? Now, Murda, he disappears for a good chunk of the book and when he finally shows up, he's off his rocker. What in the world happened to the Mexican Cartel? They were, like, unbeatable and now they're just gone. They even started a whole freaking war when Iliana got smacked around. You'd think they would've wiped out the remaining Diamonds and their crew for that. But nope, they just vanished into thin air. Other than that, the story itself was pretty decent. My only gripe is when a new book comes along and doesn't give a damn about what went down in the previous one.
  • I'm really let down. What's the point of bringing back characters from the dead? It would be better to introduce new characters or not kill them off in the first place. I've had enough! I won't be reading any more of the Cartel series!
