  • A lot of the reviews I've come across for this book seem to focus more on the narration rather than the actual content. The narration is definitely more lively than your typical audiobook, but that doesn't mean the first-hand information shared should be dismissed. As someone who has extensively researched Roswell, cattle mutilations, secret operations, the Cold War, nuclear history, Area 51, and so on, I can say that this colonel's personal account of the events I'm already familiar with has sparked a lot of thought-provoking questions, offered new perspectives, and instilled a sense of hope, excitement, and endless fascination, prompting me to delve even deeper into researching all the surrounding topics.
  • I was hesitant to read this book initially because skeptics always raised valid points about Col. Corso's lack of technical background and how he ended up in charge. However, after completing the book, I am convinced that this is exactly what transpired. It all just clicks and there is not a single moment where it feels like the Colonel might be making things up. He comes across as straightforward and sincere from my perspective. This book is excellent and it provides a great deal of explanation. If you're interested in getting an insider's view of the government's actions and their handling of the subject since the Roswell incident, you need to get your hands on this book right away. The narration is fantastic, despite my occasional disagreement with the narrator's personal opinions. Thankfully, these opinions do not intrude upon his narration in any way.
  • I was hoping to learn juicy details about the ship and the aliens, but it turns out that only one chapter (Chapter 9, to be precise) covered that stuff. Prior to that, most of the book was just filled with misinformation about the crash. To be fair, Chapter 9 was the highlight of the entire book. Overall, the book seemed to be more of a collection of random thoughts about UFOs in general, rather than focusing on the specific details of this crash. One thing that really confused me was the mention of acquiring certain technologies. It just didn't make sense and there were contradictions. For instance, they supposedly obtained stealth technology, but UFOs are still always detected on radar. And the outer skin of the ship was said to be bulletproof, yet one of the aliens died from a bullet wound. Plus, the aliens were supposedly robots, but the creators decided to give them vital organs? It just doesn't add up. I'm still scratching my head as to why there was a chapter dedicated to the Cuban missile crisis. Maybe I missed some sort of reference, who knows?
  • If you're looking for a mind-opening experience that challenges the narratives peddled by the mainstream media and politicians, then 'The Day After Roswell' and the compelling talks and interviews featuring Comm. Sgt. Maj. Robert O. Dean, a former SHAPE member, are bound to make you question everything. Don't dismiss it as mere fiction; do your own research and discover the truth for yourself!
  • Col Corso unveils a truth that has been the subject of speculation for many, but with astonishing historical evidence to back it up! The narrative flows smoothly and caters to those well-versed in WWII, the Korean War, mid-20th century politics, and the Cold War, allowing them to feel like insiders. While there were a few details briefly mentioned but not explored, the abundance of technological knowledge compensates for this. It's an incredible firsthand exploration of the military and political landscape during almost every significant event of the 20th century! I strongly suggest this book to both history enthusiasts and UFO investigators.
  • The storytelling tone in "The Day After Roswell" felt more like an exciting adventure rather than how the general himself would have recounted it. This took away from the overall experience and was a bit distracting.
