Summary
Ever since he can remember, Robin, son of Sir John de Bureford, has been told what is expected of him as the son of a nobleman. He must learn the ways of knighthood. But Robin's destiny is changed in one stroke when he falls ill and loses the use of his legs. Fearing a plague, his servants abandon him and Robin is left alone.
I was required to read 'The Door in the Wall' for school, specifically CC Challenge A, and to be honest, it wasn't that bad in the end...π΅βπ«
The character development in the story wasn't very pronounced, and I found it quite challenging to write a paper about it. For those curious, the topic I chose was whether Brother Luke should have assisted Robin in escaping the castle to search for John-go-in-the-wind. π€ͺπ
This story is absolutely stunning. It's brimming with profound insights and our family is completely smitten with it. It pairs perfectly with exploring the fascinating era of the Middle Ages.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The storyline was fantastic and it kept me engaged throughout. The way the story unfolded was absolutely phenomenal.
