Summary
As ruthless apprentice to Darth Vader, Starkiller was mercilessly schooled in the ways of the dark side, commanded to exterminate the last of the purged Jedi Order, and groomed for the ultimate Sith power play: assassination of the Emperor. He served without question, killed without remorse, and lost his heart without warning to beautiful Imperial fighter pilot Juno Eclipse, never suspecting that he was just a tool in the schemes of his masters—until it was too late to escape their lethal betrayal.
This book is alright since it delves deeper into Juno's perspective. It's packed with fan service and exciting surprise appearances. Just like the game, there are numerous unanswered big questions. The unexpected ending, which may not align with the official canon, completely astonished me! Perhaps there's a possibility of a third installment to provide more insight into what comes next?
I really enjoy the Force Unleashed narrative, and I appreciate how the author delves into a more intricate storyline compared to the game. However, it does feel like it drags on and includes a significant amount of unnecessary content towards the conclusion.
This sequel is absolutely fantastic. I'm thrilled that it wasn't abridged because that would have been a major disappointment. Jonathan Davis really knocked it out of the park with his narration; he did an incredible job. Honestly, anything he reads is worth giving a listen to. All in all, I couldn't be more satisfied with this book.
Played the game... audiobook gives more depth to the story. Not comparing to the quality level to those of "Path of destruction / Rule of two / Dynasty of evil", but a very good book indeed. Better than "Omen" for sure.
