  • I thought this book would be helpful for improving business in general, based on the description. However, I only managed to get halfway through because it primarily focuses on manufacturing processes. While it may be interesting for those in that field, it's a waste of time for most other businesspeople. I'm frustrated that the book's description didn't provide clearer details about its focus. As a former manufacturing engineer, I found the problems presented in the book to be quite simple, with solutions that are common sense. I didn't come across anything that could be considered "brilliant." The solutions were always evident and right in front of them. It's not surprising that the plant was failing if they couldn't identify these problems on their own. I'm very disappointed.
  • I first read 'The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement - 30th Anniversary Edition' in 2005, and ever since then, I've made sure not to miss any subsequent editions. I purchase it, read it again, and then pass it on to one of my team members, emphasizing the new things I learned from it. I truly value the book and hold a deep appreciation for the author. In fact, I always dedicate a slide in my presentations to E. and his book.
  • After going through this book, you'll be able to turn your company into a moneymaking machine while still maintaining a fulfilling family life. Soak up the knowledge and reap the benefits!
  • If you're an executive or a business person who's looking to level up your business skills, then 'The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement - 30th Anniversary Edition' is a definite must-read.
  • I really don't like it when audiobooks use different voices for the characters and add sound effects. However, I was able to tolerate it for the first five minutes and get into the story. Once you figure out who the author is, you realize that the book is written from his idealistic perspective on how a manufacturing business could save itself. It may not be entirely realistic, but it lacks real-world influences that could challenge his theories on implementing lean production in organizations. Despite that, it's still an engaging story and you can't help but root for the main character. Plus, there are some valuable business ideas and concepts presented. The last hour of the audiobook is a bit silly though. It's basically a 45-minute interview with the author where he goes on and on about flow theory.
  • So, I just wrapped up listening to The Phoenix Project and thought I'd give The Goal a shot since it's related. After about one chapter of The Goal, I had to call it quits. The narration was just too much for me to handle. Now, I haven't really listened to a ton of audiobooks, so I can't necessarily say it's terrible, but it's just not my cup of tea.
  • This audiobook is hands down the greatest I've ever experienced. The clever concept of having a narrator for each character truly enhances the storytelling. And let me tell you, Juna steals the show as the standout character in this novel.
