It seems that Pollen isn't a fan of corn...I enjoyed reading this book, although I was confused by the extravagant approach and techniques Pollen employs for simple tasks. The extent he goes to in order to create a natural meal is quite remarkable. We definitely need more transparency, particularly when it comes to understanding the food we consume for nourishment. That much is clear...However, I do have some disagreements with certain exaggerated claims and questionable decisions made by the author. He makes valid points, but he perhaps should have resisted the temptation to go overboard.
This book is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it to everyone, including your family and loved ones who enjoy eating food. Trust me, reading, sharing, and fully embracing this book will do wonders for you. It has become my go-to gift because it has had such a positive impact on my health.
This audiobook had a mix of engaging information, but it was overshadowed by excessive and unnecessary self-centered content. Pollan's argument about the significance of the "dilemma" in our diets didn't quite persuade me. Additionally, I found Scott Brick's narration to be incredibly bothersome. I won't be purchasing any more audiobooks with him as the narrator.
