Summary

Ryder is the hardest Montgomery brother to figure out - with a tough-as-nails outside and possibly nothing too soft underneath. He's surly and unsociable, but when he straps on a tool belt, no woman can resist his sexy swagger. Except, apparently, Hope Beaumont, the innkeeper of his own Inn BoonsBoro... As the former manager of a D.C. hotel, Hope is used to excitement and glamour, but that doesn't mean she can't appreciate the joys of small-town living. She's where she wants to be - except for in her love life. Her only interaction with the opposite sex has been sparring with the infuriating Ryder, who always seems to get under her skin. Still, no one can deny the electricity that crackles between them...a spark that ignited with a New Year's Eve kiss. While the inn is running smoothly, thanks to Hope's experience and unerring instincts, her big-city past is about to make an unwelcome - and embarrassing - appearance. Seeing Hope vulnerable stirs up Ryder's emotions and makes him realize that while Hope may not be perfect, she just might be perfect for him...

  • Why is Nora Roberts suddenly using so much profanity in 'The Perfect Hope: Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy, Book 3'? It's making me consider either stopping the audiobook or not reading her books anymore. I used to be a big fan, but this excessive language feels unnecessary and actually detracts from the overall story.
  • I absolutely love these books! I've read and enjoyed them multiple times. This must have been my 15th time before I finally decided to write a review. I really dislike the process of searching for new books to read, but once I find a good one, I'm hooked on it.
  • The story is solid and engaging. However, the use of offensive language throughout the book is appalling. The author's writing skills are commendable, and it's a shame that she didn't refrain from using profanity, particularly taking the Lord's name in vain, which can be highly offensive to many readers.
  • I totally adored it—I kinda wish she had brought in a cousin or some other family member to keep the series going. No doubt about it, I'll definitely give it another listen. The story was solid with just the right amount of suspense! In my opinion, the narrator has truly become one of the top choices for reading women's romance novels. You could really distinguish the voices of the characters, and it added to the overall experience.
