Review
The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here Audiobook by Rick Warren was an instant bestseller and sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. It was on the New York Bestselling List for more than 90 weeks. The author obviously seems God loving and God fearing and views the church as an important and beautiful institution. The book uses Biblical references throughout which enables the reader a better understanding of the subject.
However, the book has its fair share of criticism also. Many people consider that though the book has some valuable teachings, it also contains lots of false teachings. The author disregards the scriptures. He thinks that scriptures are tools which can be used based on convenience instead of seeing them as God’s holy and perfect standard which must be respected. In many places, the author also uses the Biblical passages out of context and draws false meanings from them.
