I really dug this short story. The romance didn't really float my boat, but the rest of the plot had me on the edge of my seat. If you're familiar with the Outlander series, you'll dig getting to know more about Jamie's stepdaughter and nephew, and there are some cool appearances from a couple of mysterious characters from A Dragonfly in Amber. Michael's grief over losing his wife was so well-portrayed and it really tied into the title. I'm curious to find out more about Joan and her visions - is she a time traveler or just a fortune teller? Lastly, this story fills in a missing piece about a couple of characters from A Dragonfly in Amber and it leaves me wanting more!
I had a great time diving into the fresh Outlander content. While I'm revisiting the series and enjoying the STARZ adaptation, I was curious about where The Space Between fits into the larger Outlander narrative. It's exactly what I needed to escape reality for a bit.
