Canfield fails to acknowledge the existence of societal injustices, prejudices, and biases, which is somewhat expected since his main message is that anyone can achieve the same level of success as him. It's a rather oblivious perspective, as he views the world through the lens of a white baby boomer man, evident in his statement about Donald Trump being a successful deal maker because he loves what he does. The book lacks substance, offering case study examples with underdeveloped characters who are merely portrayed as grateful to Canfield for his assistance. When reading or listening to a book, it often feels like you're stuck in a confined space with the author's voice, and in this case, I definitely wouldn't want to be stuck with Jack Canfield.
