  • This book is truly exceptional. It has withstood the test of time and continues to hold great significance even in the years 2018-2019, despite being published in the late 1960s. While some may doubt whether it falls under the category of fiction or non-fiction, it's understandable that not everyone appreciates the realm of non-reality, which is difficult to explain. Castanada brilliantly explores this concept, presenting it intellectually and authentically through his own experiences, while maintaining a neutral stance that allows the listener to draw their own conclusions. The narrator's passion is evident, yet they show restraint in all the right moments. This work is a true testament to integrity and worth experiencing.
  • The essence of our existence lies in the cosmic energy that connects us all. Death is merely a transition, as consciousness transcends time and space. Our physical forms serve as instruments to perceive the world around us, nothing more.
  • This book is a fantastic read for anyone who wants to explore diverse perspectives on the world. The storytelling and the examination of these teachings go hand in hand, making it a perfect combination.
  • I checked out the series a while back and was stoked to discover that the service had it available, so I could dive into the story without having to physically pick up a book and set aside time for it. I plan on handing these down to my grandsons, in the hopes that they'll get just as much out of the teachings as I did. Thanks to these teachings, I continue to navigate life like a true warrior, every single day.
  • Honestly, I was hoping for some exceptional writing skills. I've known about 'The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge' for a whopping forty years before finally giving it a listen, and had already read a bunch of reviews. On the whole, I'm relieved to have finally delved into the story, but it kind of fell flat for me. Having had my own share of similar experiences, it just didn't feel as fresh or mysterious. Given the book's immense praise, perhaps my expectations were a tad too lofty. I've heard that most of it has been discredited as untrue, but that doesn't bother me one bit. He's just spinning tales that may or may not depict other people or genuine experiences. In fact, it's inspiring me to jot down my own encounters. If he can do it, so can I!
