Summary
The creators of the podcast The Dollop present illustrated profiles of the weird, outrageous, NSFW, and downright absurd tales from American history that you weren't taught in school.
The title was a bit deceptive. However, I guess they couldn't put "A Bunch of Unknown People Experiencing Some Wild Stuff" on the front cover, that would've been too lengthy. They could have gone with something like "Watch This Crazy Journey" or a similar phrase. At least it was delivered in a relatable and somewhat amusing manner. I would've been a bit annoyed if I had actually spent money on it or sat down to read it. So yeah...
I really dig this book, man. It's full of these crazy, funny, and straight-up absurd historical facts that had me cracking up. The way it's told and the commentary provided are top-notch. If you're in the mood for a good laugh while learning about history, you gotta grab this book.
This book doesn't live up to the standards of the series. It's filled with crude and uninformed content that aims to appeal to the least sophisticated audience. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time on it.
