  • I'm usually not a fan of books or e-books written by salespeople like Jordan Belfort. It often feels like they're more interested in self-promotion rather than explaining why their tactics actually work. However, I have to admit that this book is different. It does a great job of getting to the core of why certain sales tactics are effective. It made me realize that if someone doesn't trust you or your company during a sales pitch, they're likely to walk away or think your product is terrible. That's a harsh truth, but it's something we need to be aware of. Belfort's straight line system makes a lot of sense to me, unlike other sales books that are filled with useless information. Overall, I found this book to be a refreshing take on sales strategies.
  • If you have some background in sales, chances are you're already familiar with the majority of the information he presents. He tends to package it with a touch of narcissism, as though he's some deity, emphasizing the sheer brilliance of his "system." However, it's important to note that a significant portion of his advice is outdated, stemming from his experiences in the 80s and 90s. Additionally, a good chunk of it is simply common sense that any salesman or businessperson would already be aware of.
  • The author shouldn't have done the narration for this audiobook. It would have been better if it was read by someone else with a different tone, as mentioned in the book. I read a few sales books every month, and I'm giving this one a three-star rating. It's not one of my top ten recommendations.
