I had a sense of déjà vu while reading this book, although the previous ones had a bit more intensity. Maya, I hope you're not losing your touch here. The aspect that truly disappointed me was the way the female voice was narrated. It came across like someone impersonating a woman. Nowadays, many authors are opting for dual narration, where women read women's parts and men read men's parts. I sincerely urge you to consider this approach, as I believe it greatly impacts the story. This book didn't quite hit the mark for me...it was just average.
This book ends on a cliffhanger, leaving me with unanswered questions! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, and Christian Fox's performance was incredible, as always. The only gripe I have is that it has been 7 years and there is still no sign of a second book. It makes me think that the author may have abandoned this series, which is okay since it's her decision and investment. However, I do believe she should consider reclassifying this book as a standalone instead of part of a series, and update the information accordingly.
I really enjoyed this book and the three main characters were fantastic! It would be great if there was a sequel so we could learn more about Elle's background and witness her future with Cade and Merrikk in greater detail!

This audiobook lacks depth and ends with yet another cliffhanger. Ugh. It's high time authors realize that they can write a full-fledged story and still have an audience. Honestly, it doesn't even come close to the superb writing of Maya Banks from a year ago. I'm uncertain about what happened with her writing, but she used to be one of my go-to authors.
It's such a bummer that the subsequent installments of the trilogy haven't come out even after all these years. It's really a plea to the author to wrap up the series and give us closure.
