Summary
Donald J. Trump is an icon: the very definition of the American success story. The star of The Apprentice and developer of some of the planet's most prestigious real estate, he's been on the bottom and risen to become one of the world's wealthiest men.
The author has openly portrayed his own personality and nature in numerous books, which makes one wonder how he managed to reach the highest position within the Republican party. The part about seeking revenge was quite disappointing; a true leader shouldn't take pleasure in insults and personal vendettas. The author comes across as excessively self-absorbed and superficial, and listening to this audiobook leaves a rather unpleasant feeling. Additionally, the coauthor gave off an untrustworthy vibe. It seems that the highly regarded "Learning Annexx" may not be as relevant in today's times, as there is very little information available about them online.
I absolutely loved this book. It's not your typical step-by-step guide, but more of a book that focuses on shaping your mindset. I've actually read it twice, and I distinctly remember how it influenced my approach when I was searching for my first investment property. It pushed me to think bigger and as a result, I ended up purchasing a larger property than I had originally planned. In hindsight, I wish I had aimed even higher. The book offers a plethora of practical tips that will broaden your perspective and boost your self-assurance.
Sometimes it was a bit confusing to figure out who was speaking, as there were no clear transition statements. But despite that, the main point still came across loud and clear.
It was an amazing chance to get a glimpse into the minds of the successful individuals and understand their thought process.
Experience is everything, and Trump definitely has it. Those who criticize his lack of eloquence are missing the point. If you pick up a book titled "Think BIG and Kick Ass," written by a billionaire, it's unreasonable to expect literary genius - unless you're an idiot. Kudos to Donald and Bill for speaking their minds and injecting some much-needed vibrancy and genuineness into the personal development genre, which can often be quite shallow. Alan Sklar's narration is outstanding as well. This is hands down the best business book I've come across in a very long time. A+ rating.
The inclusion of fictional fan letters read with Indian accents towards the end of the book was not only entertaining but also highly offensive, exhibiting racial insensitivity.
I have a lot of respect for Donald Trump as a remarkable individual. Although the book reflects some of the less admirable aspects of his past, it doesn't necessarily define who he is today. Personally, I wouldn't really recommend this book.
I absolutely adored this book! It's an absolute must-read. It's incredibly straightforward and simple to follow, yet it's packed with explosive power! If you take Donald's advice to heart, which isn't difficult to grasp, you'll be on your way to becoming a millionaire!
